How we work on this
A deep clean is not a longer version of a weekly tidy. It is a different job, done in a different order, and it takes a full day or more depending on the property. We work room by room rather than task by task, so a finished room stays finished.
Kitchens and bathrooms take the longest — grout, sanitaryware, tiling and cupboard interiors are where the time actually goes, and they are the first things anyone inspecting a property will look at. Floors are matched to the material: a polished stone floor and a tiled terrace do not want the same treatment, and using one method on both is how floors get dulled.
Most of our deep cleans are booked for a reason with a deadline attached — a tenancy ending, a handover, an inspection, or a property coming back into use after a season empty. Tell us the date and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
What a deep clean covers
A deep clean reaches the things a regular clean never touches. Room by room, this is the work.
Kitchen. Inside the oven, fridge, microwave and extractor hood. Cupboards degreased inside and out. Dishwasher and washing machine treated. Hob, splashback, worktops and the outside of every appliance. Bins cleaned.
Bathrooms. Toilet, basin, bath and shower. Limescale off screens, taps and tiling. Grout scrubbed, silicone and sealant cleaned. Mirrors and tiles throughout.
Every room. Skirting boards and door frames. Light fittings, cobwebs and ceiling corners. Switches, sockets and door handles. Inside wardrobes and storage, emptied and wiped. Behind and under moveable furniture. Wall marks spot-washed. Floors matched to the material, then vacuumed and mopped.
Glass. Windows inside and out, plus frames, sills, tracks and runners.
Outside. Balconies and terraces swept and washed.
Finish. Dry steam sanitising throughout.
Three levels of clean
General Clean. Surface upkeep for a property already in good order. Kitchen surfaces, hob, splashback, cupboard fronts and the outside of appliances. Bathrooms cleaned throughout. Dusting, vacuuming and mopping. Beds made and linen changed if it is left out. Big marks taken off the inside of the glass. This works as a regular visit, not as a rescue.
Signature Clean. Everything in a General, plus the jobs that need time rather than speed: inside the oven, fridge and microwave, extractor hood degreased, limescale off shower screens, taps and tiles, light fittings and cobwebs, switches, sockets and door handles, and interior glass and sills properly cleaned rather than spot-wiped. This is what we quote for a first visit to a property we have not cleaned before — a first clean almost always runs longer than people expect, and a General is the wrong tool for it.
Deep Clean. Everything above, plus the full list further up this page. This is the one for handovers, tenancy changes, properties that have stood empty for a season, and anywhere that has not had proper attention in a long time.
Upholstery and mattresses, carpets and rugs, blinds, ironing and exterior pressure washing are quoted separately rather than bundled into a clean.

No — you do not need to be present for a deep clean, and many of ours are done for owners who are off the island or for agents preparing a property between tenants. We arrange access, do the work, and send photos when it is finished.
